Victoria is the country's smallest state but is the second most densely populated with 4 million inhabitants. Melbourne, the capital, is a major seaport located on the Southern coast.

Spectacular coastline along The Great Ocean Road offers stunning views of the rugged and often violent Southern Ocean with the next landmass being Antartica.

It's northern border, the Murray River accommodates quaint river towns and picturesque scenery. Near it's western border, lie the Grampians, spectacular, rugged wilderness. Fern forests and sub temperate rainforests are to be found here with 30% of the state's 2500 plant species.
