New South Wales has the largest population in the country with over 5 million people. It's capital Sydney, is Australia's largest and oldest city and is on the eastern seaboard. Sydney Harbour is at the hub of the city, spanned by the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House sits on its shore.
Much of the population can be found on its popular 1900 km of semi-tropical coastline. Inland, The Great Dividing Range holds the nation's highest peak, Mt Kosciusko at 2228m and in winter the alpine areas are popular with skiers.
