Vanda is an established artist, holding a Bachelor of Visual Arts Degree,Honours, James Cook University, Townsville. She has been a TAFE drawing tutor, and works in many mediums, including oils, acrylics, pastel and watercolour. She has had three solo exhibitions,participated in numerous joint exhibitions and won numerous awards. Known for her studies of rock images and trees, Vanda's current works are presently landscapes, often in pastel. In these landscapes she seeks to capture the unique sense of space, the light, colour and energy of North Queensland's beaches and fishing spots, reflecting the tropical, laidback, lets-get-away-from-it lifestyle. Vanda now offers photographic images of her paintings at an affordable price. Similar to an expensive printed image of original paintings and just as colourful,these photographs, mounted on heavy foamcore have been specially treated to be proof against Ultra Violet light. They need no glass and can be easily framed.
