I come from a design background and 15 years ago, I took on the challenging techniques of watercolour painting in a contemporary yet traditional art style. Over the last three years my work shows a very diverse range of multi media works. They depict realistic events in every day life seen from my analytical eyes and utilising my australian colour senses depicting the sun, sea and earth in the richness it deserves. I like to relate to political issues, domestic issues and every day scenes in a multi dimensional manner using oils, acrylics and shellacs and relating these layers of life with humour and contemporary character.I use shape, design and format as their unifying imagery. I have won 10 awards for my work, had 10 exhibitions and have been commissioned 23 times to date and look forward to your responses to my latest works.
