Christine has been involved in the arts for over ten years. She has qualifications in Art and Design, From the Melbourne School of Art and Photography. Whilst pursuing her dreams and studying Archaeology at Melbourne University. It was here, whilst attending one of the lectures, regarding the Minoan's and Mycenaean's, taking special interest in their pottery; that her interests suddenly turned, which lead her to studying ceramic design at Monash University. Since then over the years Christine has found herself lecturing in photography, art and ceramics at various art schools and craft studios across Victoria and participating in judging panels at ceramic shows. In the past she was an ambassador for Colorobbia ceramic colours. And now Christine is the Principal Educator for Ceramic Solutions, colours for ceramics and crafts alike. A position, which enables her to experiment in the company's lab with new products, which inevitably result in new workshop and seminar pieces. Whenever time permits she is developing new designs and producing new art works for galleries, showrooms, and exhibitions. Christine's ceramics and photography have featured in general exhibitions throughout Victoria, Australia. And over the years she has won awards at various art shows. Her photographic work have featured overseas such as in The United States and her ceramics sold to private collectors or enthusiasts from various parts of the world. Although her strengths lie in a skill namely called clay lifting and hand building she also enjoys bright, illustrative work either on fabric, paper, wood, card and ceramic/clay. These illustrations either depict mythology or fantasy, or something entirely different like bright, bold jungle themes, overall she generally believes that a piece isn't finished until the entire area is exploited with colour. | |
